Nationwide Building Society
Founded in 1846, Nationwide is the world's largest building society with over 14 million members and assets of over £179 billion. Nationwide has mutual (as opposed to Public Limited Company) status, which means that it is owned by its members. Nationwide offers a broad range of retail financial services including mortgages, savings, current accounts, life assurance and investment products, personal loans and household insurance. The Society is the UK's second largest mortgage lender and the second largest savings provider. Nationwide's members can manage their finances through over 900 retail outlets, by telephone, internet and post. The Society has around 19,000 employees. Nationwide's head office is in Swindon with administration centres based in Northampton and Bournemouth. The Society also has six customer contact centres across the UK.
GamCom has been working successfully with Nationwide since 2000. GamCom has engaged in projects across most of Nationwide's business domains, providing services from the full software life cycle through to live support of mission critical systems and resource augmentation. These projects have included work on systems used to manage Mortgage and Insurance Point of Sale, Specialist and Commercial Lending, Customer Management, Lending Control and many others.
Based on its successful relationship with Nationwide, GamCom was awarded a contract to become one of two Nationwide Strategic Development Partners in 2006. Since then, GamCom has widened its project involvement and played a significant role in various IT projects including the merger of the Nationwide and Portman Building Societies, the implementation of a new credit card system and the migration of insurance systems to Legal and General.
NHS Wales
Velindre Hospital in Cardiff is at the cutting edge of cancer patient care. The hospital's IT team develops CANISC - a national centralised database system that presents a shared, composite view of cancer patient care records covering secondary, tertiary and palliative care across Wales. The system provides patients with high quality, continuous care and reduced risk.
GamCom was engaged to provide Application Lifecycle Management consultancy and software development services in order to implement configuration management best practice using Microsoft Visual Studio Team System. This involved setup of the environment, training for team members and assistance to improve and automate their agile development processes.
N4
N4 is a wholly owned subsidiary of Experian® the global information solutions company. It develops software for all aspects of financial services distribution and fulfilment, which is now used by some of the biggest names in the business.
GamCom has been working with N4 since 2007. Providing on-site support at N4's offices in Gloucestershire, as well as from its Harrow offices, GamCom has been successfully helping N4 deliver Microsoft .NET based solutions to their clients.
